FAQ

Questions, answered.

Cropping, ratios and quality, explained.

How do I crop an image online?

Select your image, drag the crop box (or its corners) over the part you want, and press Crop image. Then download the cropped file.

How do I crop an image to a square?

Choose the 1:1 ratio. The box stays square while you move and resize it — perfect for profile pictures.

Can I crop to exact pixel dimensions?

Yes. Type the width, height and X/Y position in the options panel. With a ratio locked, changing one side updates the other.

Does cropping reduce image quality?

No. The crop is taken from the original pixels. Saving as PNG keeps it lossless; JPG and WebP are saved at high quality.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser on your own device. Images are only uploaded if you press “Save to Library” — and then they’re stored privately in your account, where only you can see them.

Can I keep the results in my dropNudge Library?

Yes. When your images are ready, press “Save to Library”, sign in with your email (it opens in a small window, so your work stays put) and pick a folder. Saved images are private, kept until you delete them, and count towards your 50 GB of storage.

Is it free?

Yes. There’s no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit — use it as often as you like.

Need to send it?

Share your images — or any file up to 6 GB — with a link. No account needed.
