FAQ

Questions, answered.

Making GIFs from images and video, and keeping them small.

How do I turn a video into a GIF?

Select the video, drag Start and End to choose the part you want (up to 15 seconds), pick a frame rate and size, then press Make GIF.

How do I make a GIF from pictures?

Select two or more images, put them in order with the arrows, set the time per frame, then press Make GIF.

Why is my GIF file so big?

GIF is an old format that stores every frame. Use a smaller size, fewer frames per second or a shorter clip to shrink it.

Which video formats work?

Anything your browser can play — MP4 and WebM everywhere, MOV in most browsers.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser on your own device. Images are only uploaded if you press “Save to Library” — and then they’re stored privately in your account, where only you can see them.

Can I keep the results in my dropNudge Library?

Yes. When your images are ready, press “Save to Library”, sign in with your email (it opens in a small window, so your work stays put) and pick a folder. Saved images are private, kept until you delete them, and count towards your 50 GB of storage.

Is it free?

Yes. There’s no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit — use it as often as you like.

Need to send it?

Share your images — or any file up to 6 GB — with a link. No account needed.
