Remove location and hidden data from photos.

Photos can reveal where you live, what phone you use and when you were there. See what’s hidden, then strip it — without touching the picture itself.

JPG · PNG · WebP · HEIC — up to 50 images, 50 MB each

How it works

How to remove location from a photo

  1. 01

    Select your photos

Click “Select images”, drop them on the page, or paste with Ctrl+V.

  2. 02

    See what’s hidden

Each photo’s location, camera and date are listed, so you know what you’d be sharing.

  3. 03

    Clean and download

Press Remove metadata and download the clean copies, one by one or as a ZIP.

Why this tool

Share the picture, not where you took it.

  • Location gone

Phones save the exact GPS spot in every photo. That’s removed, along with the camera, date and editing history.

  • Zero quality loss

Only the hidden data is cut out — the picture isn’t re-compressed, so it’s identical pixel for pixel.

  • See before you strip

Find out what each photo reveals, including its coordinates, before anything changes.

  • Looks exactly the same

The colour profile and rotation are kept, so photos don’t turn sideways or change colour.

  • Batch and ZIP

Work on up to 30 images in one go and download them all as a single ZIP file.

  • Stays on your device

Everything happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded unless you choose to save a result to your private Library.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

EXIF, GPS location and keeping your photos private.

What is EXIF data?

Information your camera or phone stores inside each photo: the GPS location, phone or camera model, date and time, settings and sometimes the editing app. It’s invisible but anyone with the file can read it.

Do social networks remove location from photos?

Big platforms usually strip it from public posts, but files sent by email, chat apps that keep the original, cloud links and marketplaces often keep everything. Cleaning photos yourself is the safe default.

Does removing metadata reduce quality?

No. For JPG, PNG and WebP only the metadata is cut out; the image data is copied byte for byte. HEIC photos are converted to high-quality JPG, which also removes everything.

Will my photo turn sideways?

No. The rotation flag is the one piece we keep, so the photo shows the right way up everywhere.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs in your browser on your own device. Images are only uploaded if you press “Save to Library” — and then they’re stored privately in your account, where only you can see them.

Can I keep the results in my dropNudge Library?

Yes. When your images are ready, press “Save to Library”, sign in with your email (it opens in a small window, so your work stays put) and pick a folder. Saved images are private, kept until you delete them, and count towards your 50 GB of storage.

Is it free?

Yes. There’s no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit — use it as often as you like.

Need to send it?

Share your images — or any file up to 6 GB — with a link. No account needed.
