FAQ
Questions, answered.
Meme styles, fonts and sharing.
How do I make a meme?
Select a picture, type your top and bottom text, adjust the size if you like, then press Make meme and download it.
Does it add a watermark?
No. Your meme is saved exactly as you see it in the preview.
What’s the caption style?
It puts your text in a white bar above the picture, in black — the format common on Twitter, Instagram and Reddit. The bar grows to fit longer captions.
Why does the font look different on my phone?
Classic memes use the Impact font. Most computers have it; on some phones a similar bold font is used instead.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser on your own device. Images are only uploaded if you press “Save to Library” — and then they’re stored privately in your account, where only you can see them.
Is it free?
Yes. There’s no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit — use it as often as you like.
Need to send it?
Share your images — or any file up to 6 GB — with a link. No account needed.
